This year marks the debut of the online Rutgers Databank on Working Women, a resource for students, scholars, the media and others. The databank, at www.rci.rutgers.edu/~cww/, covers such topics as the gender gap in wages, New Jersey women in industry and working hours. It includes the most recent publicly available data on gender and work from government and other sources. A wise investment Novice investors anywhere in the country who want to plan for the future or begin to trade in the stock market can learn the basics in a new, free, online course developed through a collaborative university and federal government effort led by Rutgers. “Investing for Your Future,” sponsored by Rutgers Cooperative Extension, is a mouse click away at www.investing.rutgers.edu/. This distance-education course offers e-mail assistance and covers a variety of topics of interest to small investors.
