Marking the beginning of a new tradition, President McCormick delivered his first Address to the University Community at a meeting of the Rutgers University Senate. McCormick’s address, delivered to an overflow crowd at the Rutgers Student Center, offered an appraisal of the challenges the university faces and presented plans to turn potential obstacles into opportunities that can propel Rutgers into the top ranks of public research universities.
