Women in chemistry

A recent survey by Chemical and Engineering News of women holding academic positions in the top 50 chemistry departments at universities across the country found that Rutgers has both the largest number and largest percentage of tenured or tenure-track female faculty. Rutgers has 10 women in the chemistry department, representing 26 percent of the faculty. The only other university where women made up at least 20 percent of the chemistry faculty was Kansas.
