In partnership with Cdigix, a digital media service provider, Rutgers is offering students, faculty and staff a safe way to access and buy digital music and movies.
A pilot program featuring three Cdigix services – Ctrax digital music, Cflix video entertainment and Cvillage media sharing – will run through May 31. During the pilot program, faculty, staff and off-campus students on all Rutgers campuses can enjoy Ctrax and Cvillage for a modest fee. Students who live in on-campus residences can enjoy Ctrax and Cvillage free of charge.
“We know there is strong demand for the vast entertainment resources available online,” said Brian T. Rose, associate vice president for student affairs. “We want our students to have easy, affordable and lawful access to these resources and we are excited to bring Cdigix to campus.”
Rose said that feedback on Cdigix will be important because the university is evaluating how best to provide these services in the future based upon this trial. For more information and to sign up, visit cdigix.rutgers.edu
