The student steering committee for the Rutgers Dance Marathon is gearing up for another year. Every year, hundreds of Rutgers students participate in the marathon, which benefits the Institute for Children with Cancer and Blood Disorders at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. Last year, the students raised $126,000 during the largest student-run charity event in New Jersey. Although the dance will not be held until March 25, fund raising is already under way. On Sunday, Nov. 5, the group will hold an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast at the Fiji fraternity house. Other events will be held throughout the year.
