Juanita A. Long, Active Staff, Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, died on September 28, 2007. She was a Cook at Brower Commons.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 5, at Abundant Life Family Worship Church, 259 George St., New Brunswick. Burial will be at Franklin Memorial Park Cemetery, North Brunswick. Viewing will be from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. on Friday at the church. Arrangements are by Anderson Funeral Service, 201 Sandford St., New Brunswick.
Born in Salisbury, Md., she resided in New Brunswick from 1969-2003, moving to Somerset four years ago. She also formerly resided in Metuchen for two years.
She was employed as a cook at Rutgers University in Brower Commons in New Brunswick since 2000.
Juanita was a member of Abundant Life Family Worship Church, New Brunswick. She was predeceased by her mother, Doloris Long. She is survived by a son, Andre Long of Somerset; her father, Francis Long; four sisters, Leah Long of Somerset, Rosalee Tigney and Phyllis Long, both of New Brunswick, and Deloris Page of Somerset; two brothers, Francis Long Jr. of Richmond, Va., and Ronald Long of Plainfield; and three grandsons, Qualie K. Long of Somerset, D'Andre Long and Daamier Henderson of New Brunswick.
