Maddalena Pelletier, Retired Staff, Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, died on January 29, 2008. Security Guard Pelletier was a member of the University Parking Division.
Born in Santa Flavia, Sicily, Maddalena Romeo Pelletier came to the United States in 1930 and lived in New Brunswick and Edison before moving to North Brunswick in 1964. She had worked as a meter maid in the parking department of Rutgers University in New Brunswick before retiring in 1980. Mrs. Pelletier was a communicant of St. Mary of Mount Virgin R.C. Church in New Brunswick and was a member of the church's Golden Age Club. She was a member of the Rutgers Silver Knights and the North Brunswick Senior Citizens.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Onofrio and Francesco Romeo, and two sisters, Josephine Bellizia and Virginia Garrett.
Surviving are her husband Arnold I. "Frenchy" Pelletier; her son and daughter-in-law, Peter and Patricia Pelletier of North Brunswick; a sister, Rose Dickens and her husband, Steve, of Edison; a brother-in-law, James Garrett of Edison, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
