Gerald Pistone, Retired Staff, Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, died on July 22, 2008. Mr. Pistone was a tool and die maker for the School of Engineering.
Mr. Pistone was born in New York City and lived in Bergen County before moving to Somerset in 1962. He served in the Coast Guard, during WWII.
He retired from Rutgers in 1992.
Mr. Pistone was predeceased by a brother, Joseph, and is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jean Cali Pistone; four children, Vincent Pistone of Long Branch, Lorraine Lasky of East Windsor, Gerland Pistone of Somerset, and Julia Mollica of East Brunswick; a brother, Dan Pistone of Pennsylvania; three grandchildren, Corinne Plennert and her husband, Wayne of Pennsylvania, Michael Lasky of New York, and Anthony Mollica of East Brunswick; two great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
