Margaret Barton, Retired Staff, Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, died on September 13, 2008. Ms. Barton was a worker in Dining Services.
Margaret G. Barton was born in New Brunswick, and was a lifetime resident of Somerset. She was employed by E.J. Korvettes, North Brunswick for 22 years, and retired from Rutgers University Dining Hall.
She was a member of Bethel Church of God In Christ, New Brunswick, where she formerly served as a secretary and treasurer, a deaconess and choir member. She was a former financial officer for the First Ecclesiastic Jurisdiction Church of God In Christ (statewide) in the Women's Department.
She was predeceased by her parents; a brother, George Roberts; and two sisters, Mary Roberts Haywood and Cora Roberts Coleman. She is survived by a brother, Ulysses Roberts and his wife Areatha of Somerset; her twin sister, Martha Roberts Tyus and her husband Ralph of Somerset; 14 nieces and nephews, and several great-nieces and great-nephews; and an aunt, Carrie McNeil.
