Patrice M. Motley Barboe, 52, of Metuchen, died Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center, Edison. Born June 29, 1956 in Philadelphia, Pa., except for the last year spent in New Brunswick, she resided 20 years in Metuchen. She was a preschool teacher for eight years at Douglas Child Care Center at Rutgers University. She was a communicant of St. Francis Cathedral, Metuchen. She was a member of the NAEYC and and a board member of Kenyon Chapter of the NJAEYC.
She was predeceased by her mother, Margaret Griffin Motley, in 1984. Surviving are a daughter, Nora of Woodbridge; her father, James Motley of Piscataway; two brothers, James Motley III and his wife Louise of Scotch Plains, and Kevin of Los Angeles; and a nephew, Nicholas.
