J. Douglas Carroll, died on 6/8/11
The family will hold a memorial service on Saturday, June 18, at 11 am at the Morristown Unitarian Fellowship at 21 Normandy Heights Road in Morristown. (The minister needs an approximate count of how many people will attend; please RSVP to Anabel Damacela, firstname.lastname@example.org, by Wednesday, June 14.)
J. Douglas Carroll, 72, passed away June 8 after a two-week hospitalization. Doug had struggled with his health for many years, but had always fought his way back. His wife, Sylvia, said that Doug had done what he had wanted to do: He continued to work on his research right up until his death.
Doug was one of Rutgers’ most renowned and dedicated business researchers and will be sorely missed by the many colleagues and Ph.D. students with whom he worked.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that well-wishers make a donation to the Spinal Cord Project at Rutgers’ W.M. Keck Center. Doug was very interested in Dr. Wise Young’s work there and in China. To make a donation go to: http://keck.rutgers.edu/center/center.html
