Morris Roth, died on 09/27/2012.
Morris Roth, who served as a senior writer for the Rutgers News Service for 24 years, passed away on September 27, 2012.
Born and raised in Newark, Morris served in the Merchant Marine during World War II. He received his B.A. in journalism from the University of Colorado at Boulder and then worked for a variety of newspapers, including the Newark Evening News and the Elizabeth Daily Journal, before joining Rutgers.
Beloved husband of the late Eveline Roth, Morris is survived by his sons, Leonard, Michael, and Aaron Roth; daughter, Vickie Gilbert; son-in-law, Barry Gilbert; daughter-in-law, Jane Roth; granddaughter, Julia Roth; and grandsons, Drew Miles Gilbert, and Gavin Everett Gilbert.
He was an active member of Temple Beth O’r/Beth Torah Men’s Club of Clark.
