Paul Pressley (52) passed away on March 24, 2014. He served as the director of Student Affairs at the School of Business–Camden from 1997–2001.
He was a generous listener and mentor to our students, guiding them in internships, classroom endeavors, and career planning. He was also involved in teaching in the South Africa International Study Program. When he left us, he joined the doctoral program in African Studies at Howard University, where he completed his dissertation on the anti-apartheid struggle in South Africa and later served as Director of Mentoring and Professional Development.
In happy remembrances, Carol and Paul co-taught the South Africa program course in Spring 1998 and have remained fast friends ever since. Also, Paul was Julie’s MBA student at the University of Washington in the mid-1990s, and so Julie had the pleasure of knowing him as student, colleague (co-teaching the South Africa course in 2001), and friend over many years.
Paul will be missed by friends all over the world including those in South Jersey, Washington State, New Mexico, Germany, South Africa, and Botswana to name just a few. We extend our sympathy to his family.
