Ann K. Buchholtz
Ann Buchholtz, of Maplewood, N.J., professor of leadership and ethics at Rutgers Business School, passed away on September 14, 2015, in Saint Barnabas Hospital, Livingston, following complications related to a recent surgery. She was 63.
Buchholtz joined the Department of Management and Global Business at Rutgers Business School in 2010. She was also strongly identified with the Institute for Ethical Leadership, serving as professor of leadership and ethics and research director.
Buchholtz was past division chair of the Social Issues in Management Division of the Academy of Management. She was a member of the ethics task force that designed a code of ethics for the academy, and served as the inaugural chair of the academy’s Ethics Adjudication Committee. She was co-author of Business and Society: Ethics and Stakeholder Management. Her research was extensively published.
Buchholtz received the Trailblazer Advocate of the Year award for her service learning programs, which taught business students to use their skills to effect positive changes in society, and received many outstanding teaching awards.
Buchholtz received a Ph.D. from the Stern School of Business at New York University.
