George J. Wulster
George J. Wulster, professor emeritus, Department of Plant Biology and Pathology, School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, Rutgers University–New Brunswick, passed away on June 14, 2016. He was 66. A memorial service was held on June 25 at the Church of the Holy Spirit, Lebanon, N.J.
Wulster was a professor and extension specialist in the Department of Plant Biology and Pathology until retiring in January 2014. He received his doctorate in post-harvest physiology from Rutgers in 1981. In addition to conducting research and teaching, Wulster worked closely with the New Jersey commercial floriculture industry as a consultant and oversaw the production of more than 100 varieties of poinsettias in the Nichol Avenue greenhouse, on the New Brunswick campus, managed by Nikki Graf.
He is survived by his wife, Janet; a son, Charles; and a daughter, Kathryn.
