Karen L. Haboush
Karen Lynn Haboush, 54, clinical associate professor, Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP), passed away on July 27, 2016.
A memorial service will be held on August 27 from 7 to 11 p.m. at the New Brunswick Elks Club, 40 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick. A Funeral Mass was offered on August 1 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, Cape May.
Haboush was a clinical associate professor in the Department of Applied Psychology, GSAPP, Rutgers University–New Brunswick. She was also the director of the Rutgers School Psychology Internship Consortium and a published author who was a worldwide presenter in school psychology. In addition, she maintained a private psychology practice in Highland Park, working with children and adults and with trauma-based problems.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Haboush was raised in Englewood Cliffs, N.J. She graduated from Rutgers with a doctorate in school psychology. She loved the beach, especially in Cape May, where her family had vacationed for generations.
Haboush lived life with passion. She loved baking, decorating, travelling, animals, art, music, photography, and anything that enhanced beauty.
