Glenn Tappen, of Monmouth Junction, a research farm supervisor in the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, Rutgers University–New Brunswick, passed away on August 26, 2016, at Park Place Care Center, South Brunswick. He was 65.
Private funeral arrangements were made by the M.J. Murphy Funeral Home, Monmouth Junction.
Tappen began his career in 1969 at Rutgers' Cook College in the Plant Pathology Department and later became a field supervisor in the horticulture research farm in East Brunswick. He was a life member of the Amateur Trap Shooting Association, a life endowed member of the National Rifle Association, an associate member of the Pope and Young Club, a member of the New Jersey State Federation of Sportsmen's Clubs, and an avid fisherman and hunter.
Tappen is survived by a brother, Tom L.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any cancer organization of the donor's choice.
