Jacquelyn R. Hlavsa
Jacquelyn R. Hlavsa, 72, a grants and contracts accounting manager, passed away on January 4, 2017, at her Bridgewater home. A Funeral Mass was offered on January 7 at Saint Francis of Assisi Cathedral, Metuchen.
Born in Mahopac, N.Y., she lived most of her life in Piscataway, moving to Bridgewater one year ago. Hlavsa was a grants and contracts accounting manager for the accounts of the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences and New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station, Rutgers University–New Brunswick, and worked at the university for the past 32 years.
She is survived by two daughters, Dawn Hlavsa-Suk (and husband, James Suk) and Kelly Hlavsa (and partner, Eric Morales); a son, Rocky; two sisters, Irene Battiato and Bonnie Kosakowski (and husband, George); a brother, Dennis Conklin (and wife, Barbara); and four grandchildren.
