George O. Kanzler, Retired Faculty, Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, died on September 12, 2006. Professor Emeritus and Director Kanzler was a member of the Labor Relations Department.
Born in Jersey City, N.J., Professor Kanzler was a long time
resident of Princeton before moving to Langhorne, PA, in 2003.
He was educated at St. Peter's College, New York Universty, SUNY at
Buffalo and Rutgers University. Professor Kanzler has been a member of
the Rutgers University faculty since 1971. During this time, he
administered special and research libraries and achieved the status of
Professor Emeritus. He also loved coaching the University Ski Team, which he
did for a number of years. He was an avid art collector, and his passion was
traveling the world skiing. He is survived by his beloved wife of four
years, Dianne, his brother, Professor Walter Kanzler of Jersey City, NJ,
and extended family in Europe.
