Alfred A. Di Lalo, Retired Staff, Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, died on March 10, 2007. Mr. Di Lalo was a Caretaker at the President's Home.
Born in New Brunswick, he resided in North Brunswick for the past 53 years. Mr. Di Lalo was a caretaker at the home of the president of Rutgers University in Piscataway for 24 years, retiring in 1982. He was a communicant of St. Mary of Mount Virgin R.C. Church in New Brunswick. He was a member of the North Brunswick Senior Citizens. In 1982 he received an honorary degree from Rutgers University. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Betty Knabe Di Lalo; a daughter, Ruth Zuccarello and her husband, Jack, of Hamilton Township; a granddaughter, Melina Kathcart, also of Hamilton Township; a great-grandson, Anthony Kathcart; a brother, Louis Di Lalo and his wife, Lucille, of Sewell, and several nieces and nephews.
